EBHO: How to Find a Community-Subsidized Affordable Rental Home

Join East Bay Housing Organization for a presentation on how to find a stable, affordable rental home in the Bay Area. We know the number of people that need a stable, affordable home far exceeds the number of affordable homes available in the Bay Area. The process of understanding what resources are available and how to apply for community-subsidized affordable rental housing can be confusing. Because there are too few homes available, the wait for an available apartment can be long; this webinar will help demystify the process and provide information to help low-income renters apply for community-subsidized homes.

In this webinar, EBHO will share information on how to understand the income ranges to qualify for different types of community-subsidized affordable housing and how different types of housing subsidies work. Two residents of non-profit affordable housing will share their story of how they secured an affordable home, and we will hear from affordable housing providers about their application process. Eden I&R – the workers on the other end of “211” – will also share information about what resources they provide and how 211 interacts with coordinated entry to help people move from being unhoused into stable affordable housing.
